Who Can Join Lenco Credit Union?

Membership is open to all of the following:

  • Persons who live, work, worship or attend school in Lenawee County, Hillsdale County, Jackson County, Monroe County, and Washtenaw County.
  • Persons over age 55 receiving an annuity, pension, Social Security or similar retirement (basically, all retirees) located in the county or a county contiguous to Lenawee County.
  • Employees of this credit union
  • Any immediate relative of a current member

Lenco Credit Union was originally founded in 1970 as Lenco Ed Credit Union as was open to employees of educational institutions (schools and colleges) in Lenawee County.  Later the charter was expanded to also include all governmental employees in Lenawee County and the “Ed” dropped from the name, and finally the charter was expanded to our current community charter. In April 2018, the charter was expanded to include eligible memberships from Hillsdale County, Jackson County, Monroe County, and Washtenaw County in addition to Lenawee County.
